Set-up overview

A list of command language commands which tells QPSMR how to process the data, which tables to produce, how to format the output and so on is called a "set-up". Set-ups are held on disk in files (with a .STP suffix) which you create and modify with a line editor (or word processor in non-document or ASCII mode).

Parts of a set-up can put into separate files and the PP *INSERT command used to include them where appropriate.

This chapter describes the basic requirements for a set-up. Also explained are the stages of execution that the set-up will control, and the steps used in processing them.
