Tables Index

Tables are two dimensional arrays of figures, usually accumulations of data from variables. The two dimensions are known as the "stub" or "rows" (the side or vertical dimension) and the "banner" or "columns" (the top or horizontal dimension). Individual items in the array are known as "cells", and a block of cells is referred to as a part-id .

Tables may be unweighted (in which case each record added into the table counts for one only), or weighted. QPSMR distinguishes two forms of weighting, respondent weighting and quantity weighting. Both forms of weighting can be used on the same table. If respondent weighting is specified, two tables are held for each table specified, a weighted and an unweighted table.
