The form of the IT command is one of the following:
IT table = labels,
IT = labels,
The IT command assigns text to be used to describe the table. In the first form above, the text is assigned to a table by name; in the second, the text is assigned to the last table defined.
Every table must have assigned to it an IT (Identifier Title) or a VT (Vertical Title), but it need not have both. A warning appears if an IT is assigned to a suppress heading (+T or F=CON) table where it will not be used.
If an IT text is assigned to a table which already has an IT assigned to it, the new text replaces the old one and a warning message appears.
IT text appears at the top of the table before the VT (Vertical Title) and HT (Horizontal Title) texts, whichever of these are present.

Format IBH (Indentation Before Heading) specifies the number of spaces to be inserted before each line of IT text.
