MDR is a numeric format. The standard setting is MDR0.

This format specifies the assumed gap between adjacent cells of a table when calculating the median for function %TMED.

If the standard setting of MDR0 is used then the calculation assumes non-continuous data and the median value will be a whole number (or x.5) if the median falls between two values.

If MDR1 is used then a value in a cell is assumed to be the nearest whole number to the actual (continuous) value. If three cells contain the value 12 then the calculation assumes that they are really 11.75,12.0 and 12.25.
