Creating files for use with Companion Reflect

IMPORTANT: Reflect files produced by this version use the extension QRFX instead of QRF and will need Companion Reflect to read them.  Companion Reflect can also use QRF files.

The Companion Reflect software is a special version of Companion menus that allows users to create additional tables for analysis.

NOTE: If you would like to discuss the best way for you to supply Reflect software to your clients (those who wish to run extra tables from the questionnaire and data you supply) please see netmr-download.scot or qpsmr.org.uk

To create a Reflect file (for a client who has the Companion Reflect software) you should open the appropriate CL script, run it and then from the "Main" window select [Data] [Export data].

Here, you should select [Reflect (.QRFX)] and click [OK]. Next you should choose a name for the Companion Reflect files you wish to generate and click [Save].

The final step is to copy the "Reflect" files onto a removable drive or hard drive to email to your client, there are 4 files which have the extensions .QRFX (the questionnaire file), .ICF, IDF, ILF (intermediate data files).

To run the "Reflect" files, your client must have installed the Companion Reflect software. They should then make a new directory in which to store the files, position themselves at the new directory, and copy the "Reflect" files (.QRFX, .ICF, .IDF, .ILF) into it.

To run the files you have supplied, they should open the questionnaire Reflect file (.QRFX) you have supplied using the Companion Reflect programs.
