CARDCOLS

This RCP controls the number of columns in each card read or punched using the CARD NUMBERS command:

CARDCOLS=ncols,

If this RCP is not used CL assumes that each card has 80 columns.

The number of columns per card (ncols) can be set to any value between 10 and 99.

If the data is not stored as lines, for example as CSI, then each card must be exactly the size given in the CARDCOLS RCP.

If the data is in lines, for example CBA, CBE or ASC, then any columns beyond ncols will be ignored.

Example:

cardcols=99,
