IC (ignore card)

This RCP can be used to define a character string which, if it appears in data locations 1 upwards of a data card (or line), will cause that card to be ignored when read, and no other action taken. It can be used to ignore data entry batch lines. The syntax is:

IC=text[(LIST)],

If the LIST parameter is specified, a report on the card appears in the Report file. If the text contains blanks, it should be enclosed in quotes.

This RCP is used when batch lines are inserted in the data file.
