There are three types of table, distribution tables, statistics tables and value distribution tables.
Distribution tables show how the data is distributed in the matrix "stub by banner".
Statistics tables show various statistics (typically the average) across the banner, when scored by the stub value. The stub must be either an ivar or wvar, or an svar or mvar with score values, see label control <V>.
Value distribution tables are distribution tables where CL generates the rows itself from the values found in an ivar or wvar or cvar. This type of table is sometimes called a "frequency list".
The type of a table is implicit in its first definition, and may not be changed on subsequent definitions.
A statistics table is created using an at sign "@" before the stub.
A value distribution table is created using a number (the maximum number of generated rows to allow for) in parentheses after the stub.
