The form of the FL command is one of the following:

FL variable = labels,

FL = labels,

The FL command specifies labels for a variable to be used as Base Titles (BT) when the variable is used in a FILTER command.

If no FL labels are set for a variable used in a FILTER command, then a warning is issued and V labels (if set) are used instead.

Note that the X command also sets the FL labels for a variable.

Examples of FL commands:

fl $sex='All men;All women',

dm $usel=$134/3,

fl = 'All using product L',
