The form of the FT command is one of the following:
FT variable = labels,
FT table = labels,
FT = labels,
The FT command assigns text to be printed at the bottom of each table. The first two forms above assign text to a variable or table by name; in the third form the text is assigned to the last variable or table defined.
FT texts are only used if assigned; you do not have to assign an FT to every table or variable.
If an FT text is assigned to a table or variable which already has an FT assigned to it, the new text replaces the old one, and a warning message appears.
FT texts appear immediately beneath the table at print time. Job footnotes as set by special %JF, on the other hand, appear at the bottom of the page.
The FT is printed preceded by whatever is set by special %FTP, see the chapter on special texts.
Format IBF (Indentation Before Footnote) specifies the number of spaces to be inserted before each line of FT text.
Examples of FT commands:
ft #43a="Estimated from client''s data",
ft = #1,
