CTU Character for Text Underline

CTU is a character format. The standard setting is CTU'-'.

CTU is used to set the character that is used for automatic underlining carried out by formats URH and UCH.

Note that the automatic underlining appears on the next line after, not the same line as, the text to be underlined, except when the user has specified a true underline character (has set CTU'_').

Another way of underlining text is to enclose text in underline characters, for example '_This will be underlined_'. This underlining is output in a non-standard form and may not work with printing facilities other than those within CL.
