LPP Lines Per Page (page size)

LPP is a numeric format. The standard setting is LPP60.

When printing tables, CL uses the LPP format to determine how many lines on the page may be used for printing. If a table requires more than LPP lines, then the program overflows the table onto the next page, reprinting the top of the previous page down to the total row(s).

Format LPP can have a value of -1, in which case tables will not overflow vertically, instead a new page will only be created at the end of a table.

It is possible to force a new page in the middle of a table by using the label control <P> (page throw).

The length of pages is determined by the number of rows in each table unless a footer is used. Blank lines are used to ensure that the footer always appears at the bottom of the page. On the other hand footnotes appear at the end of a table, no extra blank lines will be inserted before they are printed.

IMPORTANT: When using a PRS file make sure that LPP is set to the number of rows stated in the PRS file.
