SPL Spaces Per Line (page size)

SPL is a numeric format. Its standard setting is SPL131.

When printing tables, CL uses the SPL format to determine how many positions across the page may be used for printing. If the body of the table will not fit into the space available, then the program overflows the table onto the next page, reprinting the titles from the previous page.

Note that the maximum number of characters that can appear on a line is 1000

It is possible to force a new page in the middle of a table by using the label control <P> (page throw).

IMPORTANT: When using a PRS file make sure that SPL is set to the number of columns stated in the PRS file.
