RMX is a numeric format. The standard setting is RMX20.

RMX specifies the maximum number of lines to be used for a stub label item. If more lines than this are specified in an item, CL ignores the excess lines.

Note that RMX may not be set to more than 20.

Setting RMN and RMX to the same value will give a more uniform appearance to a table.
