In the Execute Step the data is processed and the tables are incremented and manipulated.

A Report file is produced, containing reports on the data, typically data error messages and summary counts.

If TIDY is not used then two more work files are produced, the .IDF containing the defined variables from the data stage and the .ITF containing the incremented tables.
