The different types of table are described in the Tables overview and are created using Tables setup.
An arithmetic table is an amalgamation of other tables put together using an arithmetic expression that is used on every cell of the relevant tables in turn.
Typical uses will be to subtract one table from another to get a difference table.
All tables used in the arithmetic must have the same number of rows and columns.
Constants can also be used, for example to divide a table by 1000.
The arithmetic is done on the raw figures after the tables have been calculated but before printing. Percentages and statistics will be calculated after the arithmetic has been done.
The column and row settings on an arithmetic table are used only for the text on the table, they do not alter the figures in the table.
Arithmetic tables cannot be filtered, this must be done on the tables used in the arithmetic.
