When Input is done using an Input file (qpsmrinp) an index file will be created.

The index file is used to control access to the data file so that two users cannot alter the same record at the same time.

The index file will have the same name as the data file with "_index" added to the end of the extension. For example, the file MyData.csv will have an index file called MyData.csv_index.

The index file can be removed if nobody is using the data file.

IMPORTANT: If a data file is altered by another program, for example Excel or Classic programs, then the index file should be deleted.
