These formats are used to control which records are used in a table. This filtering is done in addition to any other filters on the table.
See also Combine formats for excluding records.
This format controls records that go into the table based on whether they have an answer in the column entry.
The default value is ANC0 (not used).
The value must be set in the range ANC-1000 to ANC1.
ANC1 means that records with no answer in the columns are excluded from the table.
A negative ANC means that records which only have the last few responses (Dont' know, No answer, ...) are also excluded. For example, ANC-2 will not include records that only have the last 2 responses, or are empty (blank). The last few relevant responses will usually have "Suppress if zero" set.
This format controls records that go into the table based on whether they have an answer in the row entry.
NOTE: It has no effect on tables with rows as a value, use ANV for these tables.
The default value is ANR0 (not used).
The value must be set in the range ANR-1000 to ANR1.
ANR1 means that records with no answer in the columns are excluded from the table.
A negative ANR means that records which only have the last few responses (Don't know, No answer, ...) are also excluded. For example, ANR-2 will not include records that only have the last 2 responses, or are empty (blank). The last few relevant responses will usually have "Suppress if zero" set.
This format controls records that go into the table based on whether they have an answer in the row value entry.
Default value is NANV (false). Use ANV to exclude records that are undefined (U) as the value in the row entry.
