Score values

Companion and Reflect

Score values refer to values assigned to individual responses.

Typical use would be a rating scale where values are assigned to the responses, for example:

Very good, score value 5

Good, score value 4

Average, score value 3

Poor, score value 2

Very poor, score value 1

Don't know, no score value

When this 5 point scale is used as the rows on a table a mean score will be produced.

For mystery shopping a score value is often assigned to individual answers to build up an overall score for the outlet.  In this case a value variable can be used to pick out the appropriate score and these variables can then be added together to get an overall score.
