There are a number of data reports available:
Always check a data file before doing any analysis, see Handling data, Data handling introduction.
For a "hole count" of a raw data file, see Handling Raw data, Hole count.
Selecting [Data prepare] when opening a data file, positions you at the Data prepare.
This allows you to prepare a set of data for analysis. You can:
•Choose one or more data files to be included in the analysis
•Apply a global filter to restrict the analysis to only those respondents that pass the filter definition
You can then get a Data summary, or Data drill down window combining data from more than one data file and filtered on a subset of the data.
For a "frequency count" or a "top line count", see Handling data, Data summary.
This report shows the raw data for each question asked including:
•the base (the number of respondents who saw the question)
•blanks (the number of respondents who have no data for the question)
•raw figures (the number of respondents who gave each answer)
•percentages (the percentage of respondents who gave each answer)
The report can be printed, copied to the clipboard for pasting into another program, or saved to a CSV file.
You can drill down into the data using the Data drill down window.
This module uses drag and drop and context menus to create the analysis.
You can hide or show entries depending on which entry group they are in.
This facility builds tables (cross tabulations) from selected entries. Rows, columns, filters and weights (respondent or quantity) are selected by dragging them from a pane on the window or from the main window.
Additional filters can be added by dragging one or more cells from a table to produce tables only for the respondents in those cells.
Significance testing will be done against the total and against other columns if the columns have identifiers, see Column identifiers.
You can also request a distinction analysis for two subsets of the data. Every entry that shows significant differences between the two subsets will be listed. For example you may want to investigate any differences between the users of two different brands.
You can create a set of table definitions which can be stored and reused in a QTF file which is fully compatible between Companion and Companion Reflect, see Tables setup
This module uses drag and drop and context menus to create the analysis.
The different types of table are described in the Tables overview and are created using Tables setup.
