FAZ is a logical format. The standard setting is NFAZ (false).

FAZ tells CL to print a special footnote on each page where CAZ, the character for absolute zero, is printed.

Formats FAZ, FNZ and FUV work in conjunction. CL prints all footnotes requested by these formats on a single line.
