SER is a logical format. The standard setting is SER (true).
SER instructs CL to compute and print standard errors for a table.
Standard error is the square root of the error variance. Error variance is the variance divided by the unweighted n. The variance is the sum of the squares of the differences from the mean divided by n minus 1.
Format SER takes effect when a number is used as the row or for row questions with label control <V> (value) set.
