SMA Significance Marker level A

SMA is a character format. The standard setting is SMA'+'.

This format determines which character is to be output against figures that are more than format SLA significant.

With the default setting the marker will be + or - depending on whether the figure is higher (+) or lower (-) than the total figure.

In TXT output when cells are marked under formats AVG, LMA, LMB, SIG, TTF or TTT the marker(s) appear to the right of the cell value. If insufficient blank space is available (the marker would be overwritten by the next cell, or would be beyond the page boundary) then an additional line is generated and the marker(s) are placed right justified under the value. To avoid the generation of an additional line when double markers are used (when SMA and SMB are the same) we recommend using format CLG3 and CHG3 or more.

In TXT output one or more spaces can be inserted before the marker(s) using format SMS.
