Tables definitions are stored in a QTF file which is fully compatible between Companion and Companion Reflect.
Tables can use respondent weighting, quantity weighting, and score values.
The different types of table are described in the Tables overview and are created using Tables setup.
See also Significance testing and Column identifiers.
When tables are run the output is produced in an Excel/OpenXML file with an index sheet. You can choose whether to have all the tables in the same sheet a separate sheet for each table .
The text in the Excel/OpenXML tables can be controlled (new line, bold, italic, underline), see Text rules
A tables setup can contain any of the following:
•Standard tables (cross-tabulations) with columns, rows, filters, formatting and weighting
•Arithmetic tables which perform arithmetic on other tables to create a new table
•CL (command language) syntax for the CL tables or manip stages, see https://netmr.scot/manuals/cl/manual.htm.
•Grid tables which produce a "banked table" where each column is a separate entry, see Grid variable pair.
Many tables can be created at once by dragging a set of entries.
Many tables can be changed at once by selecting them and making the change.
There is a paste special module with a block change facility for reproducing similar tables.
The appearance of tables can be changed by applying formats individually or globally, see Formats overview
You can hide or show entries depending on which entry group they are in.
