This is the menu for the Data view window.
Close the file currently being viewed and view another data file. The file is checked and any errors reported.
You can change the checks and re-check the file with the [Checks] menu.
This saves the changed file and puts a copy of the original contents in the Archive sub-folder.
The window then closes.

Close the window.
Use this menu to control which checks are done when the data file is opened or checked. See the User Guide, Handling data, Checking data for details. The following checks can be turned on or off:
•Hold filters
•Empty
•Not empty
•Value out of range
•Out of range response
•Invalid response
•Filtered response
•Single only response
•Refused response
•Unallocated response
The checking does not alter faulty answers unless you also set:
•Clean faulty data when checking
Re-checks the complete data file using the checks set above.
To prevent accidental changes to a data file, this menu item must be checked before existing data records can be changed or records can be added or deleted.
All selected rows are deleted from the file. Rows are selected using the row headers.
A new record is added with the serial number you supply using Input start.
Use this menu to control which lines and columns are displayed. See the User Guide, Handling data, Viewing data for details.
You can choose the columns to show:
All entries (except program) are shown as columns.
Only entries selected on the Main window are shown.
Without closing the data view, you can select different entries and then Refresh.
Only show columns for entries that have an error in one or more records.
The following columns can be turned on or off:
You can choose to show filter entries as columns.
You can choose to show variable entries as columns.
You can choose to show ZZZ questions as columns.
The following selections can be used to set the column widths for all the columns:
Makes all the columns very small so that more are shown at the same time.
Makes all the columns wide enough to show all the contents of the cells.
Makes all the columns wide enough to show all the contents of the cells and the full entry names in the column headers.
You can choose the rows to show:
All questionnaires are shown as rows.
Only rows that contain errors from the last checks are listed as rows.
Filter definition appears so that you can choose the records to view.
You can choose to set the row headers to:
The serial numbers are used as the row header texts.
You can choose any entry to be used for the row headers with Entry choose.
You can refresh the display:
Updates the view with any changes.
You can output the data as currently being viewed to a report file:
You can output the data as viewed (sorted, with selected rows and columns) to:
•Spreadsheet format - this produces a spreadsheet file (.xlsx) and the program set in Options settings will be invoked to view the file, any errors in the view are also highlighted in the spreadsheet file

View summary of data for each entry in the data file with any changes made, see Data summary.
