BCS is a logical format. The standard setting is NBCS (false).

Setting BCS has the effect that any column of a table for which the unweighted total is zero is not printed.

IMPORTANT: CL does not inspect any continuation tables (format option CON or +T tables) following the current table when deciding whether to suppress a column.

It is possible to suppress an individual column if it is empty by use of label control <Z>.
