Special texts are pieces of table text that normally do not vary from table to table. Special texts have 3-character names that are usually the same as the names of the formats which control whether they are printed.
All special texts have standard settings which are used until they are assigned new settings. Special text settings are carried over from stage to stage within a CL script, and from run to run when IDFs and ITFs are used.
IMPORTANT: special texts are assigned to a table when the table is first defined. The only way to change them is with a PT (Print Table) command in a Print Stage.
