Input
This appears when an Input file is opened from Windows explorer or from Open existing project.
It also appears when you create an input file from the Main window menu or are using input, see Input start.
If you are using input to enter data, only some of these options will be available, others will have been fixed by the person creating the input file.
If you are creating an Input file (.qpsmrinp) then you should choose which options the input user will be able to change.
These are always available.
•Only one question at a time on screen
•Use Enter key for next unanswered question. The Page Down key is always also available for this purpose
•Set the focus to the Serial box in the Input start dialog box. If unset, the Add record button has focus
•Show response text in list of questions. If unset the response numbers are shown in the list instead
•Test
•Live
Test mode will not store any data.
•Paper
•CAPI
Paper mode will not randomise any questions or responses. It is intended for input from paper documents.
•List of questions on left of screen
•Response keys for single-coded and multi-coded questions.
•Shown for testing:
oHold filters
oFilters
oVariables
oZZZ questions
Response keys are not needed if only using mouse for data entry with response texts.
You cannot change the data in the entries shown for testing, these are set by the the program.
